When I lived in Canada I caught a small bat clinging to a wall during a snow storm and I tried to keep it as a pet.

I was having a difficult time feeding it so I called a vet and asked for advice.

The first thing the vet said to me was that it might have rabies and I shouldn’t touch it (too late).

So I asked him if it was possible to find out if the bat had rabies and he said yes if he cut out it’s brain and ran some tests on it. I decided the best thing was to let it go.
