Vanity Plate O’ The Day: PHILPOT

Found on a green SUV, female driver, interstate 40.

Que? Pardon? I have no idea what this means. Is it a command to fill a pot? Does Phil just love pot, and want his name forever associated with it? My first thought was Pol Pot.

From Wikipedia:

Pol Pot, was the leader of the communist movement known as the Khmer Rouge. He was the Prime Minister of Cambodia (officially renamed Democratic Kampuchea under his rule) from 1976 to 1979, having been de facto leader since mid-1975. During his time in power Pol Pot imposed a version of agrarian collectivization whereby city dwellers were relocated to the countryside to work in collective farms and forced labour projects, conceived as a restarting of civilization in “Year Zero”. The combined effect of slave labour, malnutrition, poor medical care and executions had an estimated death toll of 750,000 to 1.7 million. His regime achieved special notoriety for singling out all intellectuals and other “bourgeois enemies” for murder.

  1. I saw one whilst walking in the city, oh right when I called about The Children’s Aid Society…. I told Karen about it. It was like EGJKDKIR or some other random rambling of eight letters.
